Matteo Bustreo

I am a Computer Scientist specialized in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.

Currently I work at IIT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Genova as Senior Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer | AI & Data Science Project Manager.

In collaboration with external research teams, industries and technical partners, I manage AI and Data Science projects in the field of Industry 4.0, Healthcare, AI for Good, Cultural Heritage Preservation and Retail Analytics.
I investigate and test the opportunities provided by several emerging technologies, making use of state of the art sensors, including RGBD and PTZ cameras, microphone arrays, thermocameras, eye-tracking systems and motion capture systems.

Previously I have been Software Engineer at Microtec GmbH. I obtained the Master Degree in Università di Padova after a visiting period at UCLA Vision Lab in Los Angeles.
